A brilliant workshop that was well organised. This was aimed well at Year 6’s and was great for them to have a recap from Year 5. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and haven’t stopped talking about it since! The children learned lots of new vocabulary and were enthusiastic to use this terminology themselves throughout the day.

It was really useful to have George on hand to help and support the children.
His introduction was so inspiring and the children really enjoyed hearing about his experiences as an engineer in the RAF - no doubt there will be a good number who will now consider this a future career. His manner was friendly and approachable and the children wouldn’t leave him alone all day - even during breaktimes - as they wanted to discuss their ideas or ask him questions. The content and delivery was perfectly tailored to interest and engage Y5/6 children. It was also so helpful to have all the resources required - thank you. The wow moments of launching the rockets were priceless and will stay forever as a top memory for a lot of our children. Our nursery children even came out to watch and there were lots of oops and ahhs as the rockets flew up into the air.

The event was brilliantly organised and planned perfectly according to our timings. The children were engaged at all times and had sufficient amount of talking, making and observing. The event was well planned for and provided all of the resources we needed.
George was captivating and all children were on task at all times. It was great to see the lego creations and watch the lego robot in action.
The children loved the event and learnt some new vocabulary such as trajectory.

George was a brilliant communicator. He sent all necessary documentation ahead of time to our school operations lead. The timetable of the day was clearly thought out with a balance of discussion and practical work being outlined. Despite the sessions being designed for around 60 children, George was able to adapt the day to cater for 90 children. The day was planned to be engaging and the children got a lot out of it as a result.
The children wanted to learn more and would not stop talking about the day. We had a couple of children who were absent from school during our STEM Day that were very disappointed that they missed out. Several of them have discussed going into several STEM-related careers and were inspired by George. Staff outside of our year group were also very impressed by the outline of the day including our headteacher who watched several rockets being launched!
